About Me
I’m a small town girl from southern Illinois, south of I64, part of the 618. Met my husband while in undergrad at the University of Illinois (Go ILLINI!), and continued my veterinary schooling at U of I. Headed back south to marry my college sweetheart, the man that completes me. Now, we’re trying to put roots down in Illinois Shawnee wine country with our beautiful fraternal twin girls.
We’re outdoor enthusiasts, lovers of travel, and craft beer novelists. I personally enjoy running, crafting, and now blogging/podcasting. 🙂 My husband and I have established a family mission statement… we want to instill in ourselves and our children the passion to leave the world better than the way we found it. We all only get one chance at this crazy thing called life. We need to make the most of it.
About the Career
I work full-time at a rural small animal general practice, but don’t let that fool you. We have an interest in orthopedics, so we also have our very own MRI! We’ll do a back surgery at night, and then give puppy boosters the next morning.
About the Future
Sometimes events happen in our lives that are life-changing moments. I’ve recently had one of those moments that has started me down this path with these lovely ladies. To improve the well-being of fellow veterinary professionals has become a goal of mine, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!
